ESES - 2nd International Congress of the European Society of Endocrine Surgeons

Dear Members,

I am particularly pleased to invite you to join us in Krakow for the upcoming ESES meeting in May 2006. Everybody knows how crucial has been Krakow in the centuries as a center of culture and religion: its University is one of the oldest Institutions in Europe and its role in the development and spread of Christianity in East Europe is probably second to none. Our Polish Colleagues will host us in a country that is quickly becoming one of the most important and exciting surgical realities in Europe, so no doubt the scientific level of the meeting will be of very high standard. This is for all of us a unique opportunity to spend a few days together and to know one of the most enchanting and glamorous historical cities of the Old Continent. We are all looking forward to meeting a great number of you in Krakow.

I am sure that your active participation at the ESES Congress will enrich the scientific value of the meeting. I was very glad to hear that Krakow has been chosen as the location of the 2nd Congress of the European Society of Endocrinology Surgery.
The decision made by the Society at its first, founding convention is an undoubted honor for us. It is an evidence of Krakow's popularity and a confirmation of its rank as the city of worlds cultural heritage, the crib of Polish medical science and one of the oldest European university centers.
I am extremely content that we have the opportunity to host in Krakow a numerous body of world renowned professionals - outstanding doctors and surgeons - experts in the field of endocrinology.
I would like to congratulate the Krakow Department of Endocrinology on the occasion of the honor to organize such an important and prestigious meeting..

	It is a great honor for me to welcome you, our distinguished guests coming here to attend the 2nd Biennial Congress of the European Society of Endocrine Surgeons in Kraków. I am particularly glad that this prestigious event takes place in the crib of Polish academic medical science - Jagiellonian University Medical College.
Kraków is the city of the world cultural heritage, the city wrapped in legend, where every moment spent here, is related to history. For centuries Kraków was the capital of Poland, the site of kings, attracting great scholars and artists from the whole world. It is due to their talents and imagination that city contains unique historical relics, which reflect the most important trends in European culture and science. I hope that you will have the opportunity to see them and apart from successful scientific debates you will find some spare time to feel the taste of the spirit of the city of Kraków.
